Digestion: Appetite (Consecutive / Alternating)
Determination, the digestion Variable, is how you best take in life and food, experience first, nutrition included. Appetite is your determination color, and its two tone expressions are Consecutive Appetite and Alternating Appetite.
What it means for you
- Appetite is the determination color (the way you absorb). It centers the question of pattern and rhythm in how you take food and experience in. Tone then sets the expression, either a pull toward order and routine or a pull toward variety and change.
- Consecutive Appetite takes in best with consistency and a settled order, one thing at a time, whether that is the sequence of foods on the plate or the rhythm of meals through the day. The stability of the pattern lets the body focus and absorb. Constant disruption to the routine tends to throw it off.
- Alternating Appetite takes in best with variety and a shifting rhythm, heavier and lighter meals trading off, different foods and settings. Sameness held too long brings restlessness and stagnation. The work is finding a natural cadence of change rather than constant, chaotic switching.
