The sky today
Today's read first, the month below. Tap anything to open the full entry.
The drive to find meaning by going all the way, risking everything for a life fully lived.
Line 6 makes it a long-view day. The theme reads differently from the roof than from the street — step back before judging it. The Sun moves to Gate 44 on Saturday, October 31.
The provocateur, the spirit that pokes and pressures to break things open.
Intense, deep, transformative. Drawn to what is hidden and to the truth underneath.
Ruled by Rahu, presided over by Rudra, the storm god. The power of effort and of breaking through. The cleansing tear that clears the air after the storm.
How the sky runs — the three clocks
The sky runs on three clocks. The Sun spends about six days in each of the 64 gates — that's the week's theme. Inside a gate it climbs one of six lines a day — that's today's flavor of the theme. And the Moon changes gate roughly every 19 hours — that's the mood moving underneath everything.

OCTOBER 2026 · THE DATES TO KNOWWhat counts as a date here
Four things are worth a date this month. The Sun changing gate resets the week-scale theme. The Sun changing sign shifts the season's tone. New and full moons are exact moments — a new moon starts a cycle, a full moon exposes one. And a planet standing still to change direction marks the start or end of a retrograde, the slow weather everyone shares.
