Perspective: Wanting

Perspective is the angle your mind reaches for first, the lens it sees the world through. Wanting means you see through desire, reading your wants and others' as signals toward purpose.

What it means for you
  • Per aHumanDesign, the Wanting Perspective treats wants and desires not as whims but as signals and guides toward your purpose and potential. At its best it is a sharp read of what you and others actually long for.
  • The discernment it asks for is genuine wants (from your true nature) versus superficial wants (from external pressure or others' expectations). Following the real ones aligns you; following borrowed ones scatters you.
  • Its shadow, in aHumanDesign's words, is a perspective driven by dissatisfaction and an unending longing for more - motivating but exhausting. The work is to let desire be a clear window, not a treadmill.
